Just some bench presses, bicep curls, squats, lunges e.t.c just to isolate the muscles strength then work more on different exercises like olympic lifts and yeah start to build power after some strength

OK how many reps are you doing?

I do about 5-10 reps sometimes more.

It sounds like you have the right idea. Have you seen my complete guide to cricket fitness? There are a few tweaks in there that can make it even better (like staying under 10 reps and increasing the weight).

Im thinking of buying the bowling thing on the pitch vision academy. This is because i want to become more side on so i can swing the ball away from right handers.

Hi Cody, It's great you are thinking about buying the course but don't do it to get more side on. First, the course is not about swinging the ball it's about pace and accuracy combined. Second, even if it was about swinging the ball it would not show you how to get more side on. Away swing can be generated in many different ways, changing your action is probably one of the least effective ones. Have you listened to my interview with Ian Pont? It goes into detail about swing bowling without changing your action.

Ah yes, those are excellent for cricket specific endurance. Combine them with some strength training and lots of stretching and you have a great plan.

i have grand finals fir both club and districts. I just got in from club training was good. didn't bowl as consistant as i wanted but bowled pretty well considering that i had a very old bowl that was reversing.I would of got wickets with my slower bowl .Batted good played on the front foot and on back. smashed the bad bowl. especially of our quickest and best bowler.
