Have you ever been out for 99?
I've never been out for 99 but I've only got 2 hundreds so far. Must be gutting to get so close and blow it.

Lucky for me no, but I would still be proud of getting 99, especially if it means my team wins the match.

It is gutting to be out on 99, two seasons ago it happened to me. The worst part is when you know it wasn't a great ball that got you but a poor shot instead. Ahh well there will be other occasions i'm sure.

Well, My Highest Score is 93 but I'd gladly take 99 though despite missing a century.

I've never been out for 99, but i went one season where i (i'm a left handed opening batsmen) went out on 49, 4 times in a row, and in the 5th game, i made 49 n.o.

No, although I was once on 98* with one over to go of a 20-20 game, and a tailender on strike to start the final over.
He played and missed at 6 straight deliveries.
It's lucky I had scored a ton only the saturday before and wasn't feeling greedy, otherwise I would have been a tad peeved.

I had a friend who was batting in a 20-20 game. He was on 98* with one ball of the game left. He hit it down the pitch past the bowler. They went and ran two, so he started celebrating his century. But then he found out his partner had run on short! He finished on 99* and was not happy with his teammate

I played in a junior school 20/20 match and ended up 96* out of 154 and couldn't get the strike for the last over it went.... dot, dot, W, dot, W, W. I tried to run every ball but wouldn't have made it.....I was pleased but i would have like the chance to face just 1 ball!!!
